Deira is where the food trade in this city started, and it is still the part of Dubai where the most cooking happens per square kilometre. We deliver here every day.

Practically, Deira is old buildings and narrow streets. Naif, Al Ras, Frij Murar and the lanes off Al Rigga were not laid out for delivery vans, and plenty of the buildings have no service lift and nowhere to stop. That is our problem rather than yours, but two things genuinely help: give us a building name and a flat number rather than a landmark, and tell us if there is no lift — a box of onions up five floors is a different job from a box of onions to a door.

What people here order

Deira households buy in volume and buy the same things every week. Onions, potatoes, tomatoes, chillies, ginger, garlic and the herb bunch — the base of Pakistani, Indian, Iranian and Levantine cooking, in quantities that make the box the obvious unit rather than the kilo. A box of tomatoes at AED 25 against AED 6 a kilo is the difference that matters when you are feeding eight people.

Timing and payment

Deliveries run daily from 07:00 to 22:00 and you choose a slot at checkout. Mornings are the quietest on these roads; from around 6pm the whole area tightens up, so book early if the timing matters. Delivery is free on orders over AED 500, and below that the charge for your area is shown at checkout before you confirm anything. Payment is cash to the driver at the door.
