Twenty-eight vegetables, bought at the Dubai wholesale market in the morning and delivered the same day. What is on this page is what is in the van, which is why a few items show a price on request rather than a number — a round cabbage whose wholesale rate moves several dirhams a week is more honestly quoted than guessed at.
Most things here sell in two sizes: by the kilo for a household, or by the box for a restaurant, a large family or anyone who cooks in volume. The box is always the lower rate per kilo. Tomatoes are the clearest example — AED 6 a kilo, or AED 25 for the box.
If you are shopping for a particular kind of cooking, the sub-category tiles are a faster route than scrolling: Everyday Essentials for the onion, tomato, potato, garlic and ginger base, Leafy & Herbs for the herb bunch and the lettuces, Peppers & Chillies for heat and colour, Cabbage & Gourds for the bulk of a curry or a bake.
We buy at the Dubai wholesale market in the morning and deliver the same day. Nothing sits in a warehouse for a week between the farm and your kitchen, which is the main reason the herb bunch and the lettuces arrive here in a usable state at all.
Why do some vegetables show a price on request instead of a price?
Because their wholesale rate moves week to week. Rather than publish a number that will be wrong by Thursday, we quote those items on the day. Send an enquiry from the product page and we will reply with the current rate and confirm it is in the van.
What is the difference between buying by the kilo and by the box?
The box is the same produce in a larger pack at a lower rate per kilo. A kilo of tomatoes is AED 6 and a box is AED 25, so the box works out cheaper per kilo. Box sizes vary by item and are stated on each product page.
What is the difference between the Indian onion and the local onion?
The Indian onion is sharper and denser and holds up better in a long-cooked base or a curry. The local onion is milder and sweeter, and is the better one raw — in a salad, a sandwich or a raita. Most kitchens here end up buying both.
Can I order vegetables for a restaurant or a café?
Yes. The box units exist for exactly that, and for regular standing orders or larger volumes there is a wholesale enquiry form that reaches us directly rather than going through the normal checkout.
How should I store vegetables in Dubai heat?
Three rules cover most of it. Get the herb bunch, the lettuces and the soft vegetables into the fridge within the hour. Keep onions, garlic, ginger and potatoes out of the fridge, somewhere dark and dry with air around them. And never store potatoes and onions together — the onions make the potatoes sprout.
