The rules of buying from us. Plain language, because a term nobody can read is a term nobody agreed to.

Who you are dealing with

Prices

All prices are in UAE dirhams (AED). Fresh produce prices move, so the price that applies to your order is the price shown at the moment you place it, not a price you saw last week.

Some items are listed as price on request because their wholesale rate changes too often to publish. Those are quoted individually and only become an order once you have accepted the quote.

Saaed Vegetable Trading is registered for VAT in the UAE. Every price shown on this site includes VAT at the standard rate of 5%, so the amount you see is the amount you pay. Each invoice shows the VAT contained in the total separately.

Placing an order

Adding items to a basket is not a contract. The order exists when you confirm it at checkout and we accept it. We may decline or adjust an order if an item turns out to be unavailable that day, if the address is outside the area we can reach, or if we cannot reach you on the number given.

We recalculate every price, quantity and total on our own side when you place the order. If what your browser sent us disagrees with our own catalogue, our figure is the one that applies — that protects you as much as it protects us.

Weights and natural variation

Items sold by weight are weighed at packing, not estimated. Items sold by the piece — a watermelon, a pineapple — are priced per piece and their weight varies naturally, which is why they are sold that way. Produce also varies in size, colour and shape between deliveries, because it is grown rather than manufactured.

Delivery

We deliver daily between 07:00 and 22:00 in the slot you book. A slot is a window, not an appointment to the minute; traffic in this city occasionally beats us. If we are going to miss your window badly we will call you rather than let you sit and wonder.

Somebody needs to be there to receive the order and pay for it. If nobody is, we will call, wait what we reasonably can, and then take the order away — and we will contact you to arrange another time.

Payment

Cash on delivery, in dirhams, to the driver. Payment is due in full on delivery. We do not accept cards on this site and we do not store card details anywhere.

Cancelling

You can cancel free of charge at any time before your order has been packed and loaded, from your account or by calling +971 56 959 5420. After that, refuse what you do not want at the door and pay only for what you keep.

If something is wrong

See Returns & refunds. The short version: tell us within 7 days and we replace or refund it.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for orders placed from your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it and we will lock it.

What we are responsible for

Delivering produce in good condition, at the price we quoted, within the window you booked. If we fail at that, we fix it — replacement or refund. We are not responsible for losses beyond the value of the order itself, such as the cost of a cancelled dinner or a lost booking.

Product photographs on this site are either our own or used under licences that permit commercial use. Descriptions, guides and storage advice are written by us. Please do not copy them wholesale onto another shop.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes go to the Dubai courts.
