Strawberries and blueberries, by the box, in season. The most fragile things we deliver — neither ripens further after picking, so what arrives is what it is.

The practical difference: blueberries hold five to seven days in the fridge and freeze beautifully; strawberries give you two or three days at best. Buy strawberries to eat and blueberries to keep. Neither should be washed before storing — water sitting between berries is what turns a box to mush.
