Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it. It is short because we collect very little.

Who we are

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, your phone number, your delivery address, and optionally your email address if you want an order confirmation sent to you. We also keep the order itself — what you bought, when, and what it cost — because that is what an order history is.

If you create an account we store a hashed version of your password. Hashed means we cannot read it, cannot recover it for you, and cannot tell you what it was. If you forget it we can only help you set a new one.

If you subscribe to the newsletter or send an enquiry, we keep the email address or phone number you gave us for that purpose.

What we do not collect

Card and bank details. We take cash on delivery only, so there is nothing to store. No page on this site asks for a card number, and if you are ever asked for one in our name, it is not us.

Why we hold it

To deliver your order, to let you see your own order history, to answer you when you contact us, and to keep the accounts a business is required to keep. Nothing else.

Who sees it

The person who packs your order and the driver who delivers it see your name, phone number and address, because they cannot deliver without them. Beyond that, nobody outside the business, and we do not sell, rent or trade customer data to anyone at any price.

Cookies

Two of them are functional and cannot be turned off without breaking the site: a session cookie so it knows you are logged in while you are using it, and a cart identifier so the items you added are still there when you come back.

Two more are set by Google Analytics — named _ga and _ga_<id> — which counts visits and tells us which pages people actually use. They last up to two years unless you clear them. If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that switches it off for every site at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and blocking googletagmanager.com in your browser has the same effect here. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It records the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used. Your IP address is shortened by Google before it is stored, so it does not identify you, and we have not switched on any advertising, remarketing or audience-sharing feature. Google processes this data on our behalf and their own terms apply to it.

We cannot see who you are in it. It tells us that eleven people read the mango page yesterday, not which eleven. It is never joined to your order history or your account, and our own staff are excluded from it while they are signed in.

We run no advertising service, no remarketing pixel and no social media tracker of any kind.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as the accounting rules require. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete them. Enquiries and newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — call +971 56 959 5420 or email saeedvagetabletrading@gmail.com. Deleting an account does not delete the order records we are required to keep, but it does remove everything else. Newsletter emails carry an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing is immediate.

If this policy changes we will update this page. It was last updated on the date shown at the bottom of it.
